You may find the answer to your questions regarding your KNOWME ID. If you do not find the answers you are looking for please use the contact form below to ask us directly.

I lost my KNOWME.  What should I do?

Immediately report your KNOWME ID lost or stolen to protect your personal information. This can be done by emailing our Patient Advocate Team [PAT] at hello@getknowme.com and put “Report Lost KNOWME” in the subject line.  You can also call us at 202.505.3370 to report a lost KNOWME. Reporting an ID lost or stolen will immediately disable it so that unauthorized persons will not be able to view the information on your KNOWME. To replace it, you can visit our website (www.getknowme.com) to purchase a new ID. Your new ID will come pre-registered and linked to your existing KNOWME profile. 

How do I access my KNOWME profile on the computer?

To access your KNOWME, visit getknowme.com, click LOGIN in the menu, then enter your username (email or ID) and your password.

How do I register a new KNOWME?

You will complete the registration process prior to your KNOWME arriving.  When your KNOWME ID(s) arrives, it will already be linked to your personal health record.

How do I use the tap feature to access my KNOWME profile on an iPhone?

  • The process is easy if you have an iPhone XR, XS, 11, or newer…
    • Simply hold your KNOWME wrist ID, keyfob, or wallet card against the back (near the top) of your iPhone.  
    • A pop-up will appear asking if you would like to open getknowme.com
    • Tap the pop-up and you will be taken to the KNOWME profile
  •  If you have an iPhone 7- iPhone X…
    • Visit the iPhone App Store and download the Decode App
    • Open the Decode App and choose Scan
    • Place the top of your iPhone on the KNOWME ID
    • You will be taken to the KNOWME profile.  

How do I make my information available to a First Responder?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose ME in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Select MY PUBLIC INFO (green button)
  • Toggle DO YOU WANT TO ALLOW PUBLIC ACCESS TO YOU INFORMATION from NO to YES
  • Select the information you would like to be made available without requiring a password
  • SAVE

How do I update my medications?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose HEALTH PROFILE in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Under CURRENT MEDICATIONS, click on ADD NEW MEDICATION
  • Add the Prescription Name, Dose, Units, Timing (Frequency), For Condition, and Prescribing Healthcare Provider.  
  • If your Prescribing Healthcare Provider is not already listed, you can ADD NEW PROVIDER.
  • SAVE

How do I update my vaccinations?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose HEALTH HISTORY in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Under VACCINES, click on ADD/EDIT VACCINE
  • Select ADD MORE
  • Choose the VACCINE and enter the DATE
  • SAVE

How do I use the tap feature to access my KNOWME profile on an Android device?

  • Simply hold your KNOWME wrist ID, keyfob, or wallet card against the back (near the top) of your device.  
  • You will be taken to the KNOWME profile
  • Depending on your phone manufacturer, NFC may be switched off by default
    • Swipe down from the top of your screen to reveal settings
    • Click the gear icon
    • From the list, select “Connected Devices” or “Connections”
    • Set the NFC switch to ON

How do I use the scan feature to access my KNOWME profile?

The process is the same for Android and iPhone devices.

  • Open the camera app on your device.
  • Place the QR code within the view of the camera
  • If your device presents a pop-up or a banner with the link, tap it to launch getknowme.com

How do I print my KNOWME Health Snapshot to take with me to my doctor’s appointment?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose ME in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Select PRINT MY HEALTH (pink button)
  • A PDF will be created with your health information that you can print 

NOTE: We are not able to provide you support for your specific printer.

How do I update my food or medication allergies?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose HEALTH PROFILE in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Select UPDATE MY HEALTH
  • Toggle ARE YOU ALLERGIC TO ANY FOODS OR MEDICATIONS from NO to YES
  • Enter your allergy and reaction
  • If you do not see the food or medication that you have an allergy to listed, please email us athello@getknowme.com

How do I update my surgeries/procedures/tests?

  • Visit getknowme.com
  • LOG IN using your email/ID and password
  • Choose HEALTH HISTORY in the pink bar across the top of the screen
  • Under PROCEDURES & TESTS, click on ADD/EDIT PROCEDURES, SURGERIES, & TESTS
  • Select ADD MORE
  • Choose the PROCEDURE, SURGERY, or TEST and enter the DATE
  • You can also select the NOTES icon next to the DATE and enter information such as IMPRESSION, SURGEON, or RESULT from the Procedure, Surgery, or Test
  • SAVE
